Watts to Lumens Conversion Table
When replacing an incandescent or CFL lamp or light it us useful to be able to compare the light output for the different types of light or lamp to obtain a suitable equivalent of a different type.

LED / CFL / Incandescent lamp comparison
LED lamps provide an ideal replacement for the older compact fluorescent and incandescent lighting lamps.
Not only do LED lamps provide better efficiency levels, but they also provide a longer life.
However it is necessary to be able to equate the light output of the different forms of light. A watts to lumens chart is very useful. Comparing the different light outputs for a given power level enables the most suitable light.
Light Output (Lumens) | Typical Incandescent Power | Typical CFL Power | Typical LED Power |
---|---|---|---|
450 | 40 | 9 - 13 | 4 - 5 |
800 | 60 | 13 - 15 | 6 - 8 |
1100 | 75 | 18 - 25 | 9 - 13 |
1600 | 100 | 23 - 30 | 16 - 20 |
2600 | 150 | 30 -35 | 25 - 28 |
